Narciso Reyes, Sr.
March 19, 1910 — July 6, 2017
Narciso Reyes Sr., age 107, at rest on Thursday, July 6, 2017 with his loving family by his side.
Narciso is survived by his loving children, Narciso Jr. (Kathleen) Reyes, Ramon Reyes, Rita (James) Zelko; 9 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter; brother, Augustine (Ofelia) Reyes; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by his wife of over 60 years, Edith (nee Marcantoni) Reyes (2005); parents, Toribio and Antonia (nee Astorga) Reyes; sisters, Antonia, Juanita and Merced Reyes.
Narciso was employed by U.S. Steel, Joliet Brick Yard and the railroad laying railroad ties near Dwight, IL. He instilled in his family the ethics of hard work and to keep active for a long life. Dad had many projects; his motto was “if it’s not broken, fix it.” He will be missed forever but never forgotten in our hearts.
Funeral services and interment were held privately at St. Mary Nativity Cemetery in Crest Hill.
