Zoran Dusan Mijatovich, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Zoran is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Venise Mijatovich (nee Mondou); children, Suzanne Mijatovich, Monique (Leonard) Koenigsmark and Gerard Mijatovich; grandchildren, Vincent and Gabriel Koenigsmark; cousins, Tihomir (Beverly) Mijatovich, Kathy "Mitzi" Bustard, Bob Mijatovich, Chuck Mijatovich, Anna Mijatovich and Charles Mijatovich; as well as numerous relatives.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dusan and Rosanda (nee Botunjac) Mijatovich; uncles, Milenko Mijatovich and Dragoljub Mijatovich; cousin, Michael Mijatovich.
Zoran was born Jablanica and raised in Krusevac, Serbia and came to America in 1974 and married the love of his life, Venise on October 19, 1974. He was a loving father and husband and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Zoran's passions in life were soccer and fly fishing. He will be truly missed.
The family invites relatives and friends to gather at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church for a Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet from 4-9 p.m. A pomen service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 p.m.
