Age 86. At rest on May 19, 2007. Born in Chicago on September 12, 1920 to Albert and Marie Mondello.
Survived by her loving daughter Linda A. Janik and son-in-law Robert W. Janik. Also surviving are her much loved and appreciated granddaughter Leah M. Janik of Joliet; and grandson, Thomas R. Janik of Arcata, California.
Preceded in death by her beloved and much missed husband of 63 yrs., Sam M. Algozino, who died March 17, 2007; her brother Vincent Mondello; and infant son, James.
After retiring, Yola and Sam lived in North Fort Myers, Florida and moved to Joliet in 2002 to be with their family. Yola was a loving wife and very devoted to her family. She was an outgoing person who enjoyed being with friends and family. She will be truly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name would be appreciated to the St. Jude Catholic Church Building fund.
A Memorial Visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2007 from 9:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church, Joliet, IL at 10:00 AM. Interment is private.
