Zhann Thepsomphone
Age 53 of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
Born February 10, 1968 in Laos, Zhann was a son of Chome (Khammungkoun) and the late Sanith Thepsomphone. Zhann moved to the Joliet area with his family as a kid and graduated with perfect attendance from Lockport Township High School with the class of 1988. Being the oldest of five siblings, Zhann started working at an early age to help support his family. He always had a great work ethic and worked hard to ensure that his own family could afford the best of the best. Zhann loved music and would always have something playing in the background wherever he was at. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, cycling and being outdoors to enjoy nature. Zhann also loved hosting family events, and was the grill master during summer get togethers. His most treasured times were always with his family. Zhann’s family was his everything. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years: Nang; children: Alex, Austin and Avelin; siblings: Sia (Dang), Von (Bruce), Kit (Gary) and Lot; his mother: Chome, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Zhann is preceded in death by his father: Sanith.
Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet. Following the visitation and service, cremation rites will be accorded. Masks and social distancing practices are required.
