William (Bill) Zook went home to Jesus on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice. He was 77 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan (nee Newby); four children: son Creig (Lisa Gutierrez)) of Shorewood, IL., daughter Debra (Donald) Smeeton of Harrisonburg, VA.; daughter Donna (Kevin) Hogan of San Diego, CA., son Chris (Robin Miller) of Colorado Springs, CO.; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother-in-law, several nieces, and nephews.
He was a member of Michigan Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN. He was a carpenter/home builder all of his adult life. For a few years, he and his wife traveled in an RV, volunteering his carpentry skills, building and remodeling churches and colleges in the midwest and southern states. Prior to the RV ministry, Bill and his family lived in Joliet for 30 years.
In lieu of flowers, gifts to the Joliet Area Community Hospice or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
The Family would like to invite relatives and friends for a Memorial Service honoring Bill's Life which will be held at Judson Memorial Baptist Church at the corner of Black Rd. and Infantry Dr. on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 7:00 PM.
