William A. Walsh, “Bill” age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 02, 2015.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marilyn; children, Nancy Walsh, Bill (Laura) Walsh, Kathleen (Dan) Kolzow; grandchildren, Billy (fiancée Kelsey Hull) Walsh, Jackie (Ryan) Rumler, Steven (fiancée Alex Skinner), Christine Walsh and Michael Walsh, Kaitlyn and Jessie Kolzow; great-grandchildren, Keaton Walsh and Sophia Rumler; siblings, Patricia (the late Jim) Prigge, Maureen Walsh and Jan (Ed) Wiesemann; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, William J. and Mabel D. (nee Langer) Walsh; three brothers, Bobby, Larry and Terry Walsh
Bill loved music, especially Frank Sinatra and loved to dance. He was known for his quick wit and crazy jokes. Bill loved with his whole heart, lived life with a smile and gave to anyone who was in need. He was also a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield. Bill will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield would be appreciated.
The family invites relatives and friends to gather on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Plainfield for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:30 a.m. Per Bill’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no funeral home visitation or services. Interment of cremated remains will be held privately at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
