William Robert Telfer, Jr.
“Bill”
Age 72 of Elwood and formerly of Joliet, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Lightways Hospice Care in Joliet with his family by his side.
Bill lived a life of many accomplishments. He was an actor, a teacher, and a bookseller, but mainly a free-lance writer who once wrote for the Herald News and has published two books. He loved his family and friends, old movies, books, music, and yearly vacations to Door County. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Bill is preceded in death by his father: William Robert Telfer Sr., and his mother: Helen (Arambasich) Telfer; his step-son: Richard (Roc) Kristinat, and his brother: Michael Telfer.
He is survived by his loving wife: Marjorie (Querio) Telfer; sons and step-son: Daniel Telfer, Robert (Aly) Telfer, and Keith (Teresa) Kristinat; granddaughters: Novella, Pandora, Annie, Roslyn, and Iris; sister: Mary Telfer; nieces: Liz (Adam) Holden and Helen (Zach) Werner, as well as numerous cousins.
Per Bill’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
The family will receive family and friends for a memorial visitation on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until time of memorial service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.
