Age 89 . Passed away on Oct. 5, 2006 peacefully at the Joliet Hospice Home. Bill was a lifelong resident of Joliet, IL. He was a veteran of the US. Army served in Australia during WWII, retired Iron Worker Local 444, member of St. John's Parish, Cantigny Post VFW 367. He loved bowling, golfing, traveling and had numerous hobbies. Dad was a very generous, loving and a colorful guy and just wanted to make people laugh. He lived his last years wanting to enjoy every minute he could with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom lit up his life for many years. He will be deeply missed but left all who knew him with great memories. He's now with mom and they are both at peace. God bless them both.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy (Vogrin) Futterer, parents Al and Loretta Futterer, sisters Shirley Hall, Mary Jane Whalen, brothers Art, Bert, and Jay.
Loving father of two sons James (Bobbi) and Tom (Sue) Futterer, and daughter, Barbara (Ralph) Bruno. Dearest grandfather of Lori (Jack) Brascia, Keri (Eric) Johnson, Peter (Heather) Bruno, Shawn (Stacy) Futterer, Katie (Kip) Carr, and Mike Futterer. Loving great grandchildren, Alyssa, Holly, Kylie, Cole, Dylan, and Kaden; one brother, Matt (Peg) Futterer. Special pal Fran Heenan, his ""guardian angel"" Luann Gornik, sisters-in-law, Marie (Late Charles) Speckman, and Collette (Late George) Vogrin, loving niece Gloria (late Robert) Louch, and loving friend Betty Hemphill.
