Age 83, at rest on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Meadowbrook Manor surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his devoted wife of 59 years Anna Mae (Brenczewski) Fang; two daughters Karen Crawford-Theobald (Peter Theobald) and Kathi (Jim) Lorenc; grandchildren Heather Lorenc, Jason (Andrea) and Heidi (Fred Guerra) Crawford and Alyssa Theobald; two great-grandchildren Jamie Crawford and Ian Guerra; and three sisters. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Bill graduated from Sacred Heart School and Joliet Township High School.Veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Diphda. Retired from Triumph Foundry and Machine Shop after 35 years of service. Member of the Cantigny Post #367, the Joliet Fraternal Order of Police for over 25 years and Old Timer"s Baseball. William loved bowling, fishing, hunting, golfing and fixing his neighbor"s lawnmowers. A very, very special thanks to his niece Pat Marco who was there for him every day and also Linda Gnidovec, Rene Fronek and his nephew Rich Marco Jr., special friends Pam Calcanas, Ben and Marie Tekel, George and Diane Irvin, Helen and Paul Guertin, Stan and Jan Stanszewski; fishing buddy Steve Salopek and family lawyer Robert Wisniewski. Also the staff at Adventis Hospital, Meadowbrook Manor, Joliet Area Community Hospice, Fr Herb Essig, Chaplin Tom Marciani and his best pal, his dog Durango. William will be buried next to his special brother-in-law the late Eugene Brenczewski According to Bill"s wishes cremation rites were accorded.
Private services were held. Inurnment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
