William R. Cornolo

William R. Cornolo age 91 of Joliet, formerly of Lockport, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side.

William was the son of Joseph & Christine (nee Rigoni) Cornolo.

Born and raised in Lockport and was a graduate of Joliet Catholic High School. After graduation William was inducted into the U.S. Army and served our country in WWII. William owned the Royal Blue Food Mart in Lockport for many years. After retiring he was employed at Mitchell’s Food Mart – Joliet.

William is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Elizabeth (nee Hartney) Cornolo, his loving daughter, Lynne Villiaros and devoted son Ronald Cornolo. Treasured grandchildren Malia (Bryan) Proskey and Jason Villiaros. Precious great grandchildren, Kailana and Koa. His Brother Eugene (Louann Dawkins) and sister, Corrine (William) Davis; and his loving and devoted caregiver Josie.

William was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marilyn (William) Gestel. Molly.

Visitation Friday, April 29th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak’s Home to Celebrate Life, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 S. Jefferson, Lockport, IL Saturday April 30th, 10:00am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery – Romeoville, IL.
