William C. “Bill” Wilhelmi

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill Wilhelmi on Thursday, May 11, 2023.  Bill was a hard worker, proudly served his country, and was a devoted husband and father, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.  He is survived by his wife, daughter and three brothers.

Per Bill’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

The family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until time of closing prayers beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.  The funeral will then drive in procession to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:30 a.m.  A private interment will follow, and Bill will be laid to rest with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Bill’s memory to either Zero Prostate Cancer, 201 Union Street, Ste. #110, Alexandria, VA 22314 or to the American Cancer Society.
