William T. Babicki

William T. "Ted" Babicki, age 87, entered into eternal life on Monday, December 29, 2014 with his loving family by his side.

Ted is survived by his loving sons, Raymond and Thomas (Jeanette) Babicki; cherished grandson, Joel Ryan Babicki; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen (nee Kolenc); parents, Theodore and Ida (nee Kapala) Babicki; brothers, Leonard and Stanley in infancy, Bernard (Stella) and Edward (Fran) Babicki; and sister, Florence (Walter) Bump.

Ted was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus #382 and Cantigny Post #367. He was also a member of Harwood Post #5 and Moose Lodge #300. Ted was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and serving during WWII in France and Germany. Ted will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ted's name may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Presence Villa Franciscan, LaSalle Veterans' Home, and St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley for the care provided.


A Celebration of Ted's life will begin on Saturday, January 3, 2015 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. then driving in to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Joliet for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435.
