Wendy Elliott Reardon

Wendy Elliott Reardon passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Lightways Hospice Care in Joliet with her family by her side.

She was born in Stretford, Manchester, England and later resided in Elwood, Illinois. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Wendy is survived by her sons: Sean (Nancy) Reardon and Jim (Paula) Reardon; special gram to: Gina Talarico, Jim (Melinda) Talarico, Christopher (Kim) Reardon, Jeff Reardon and Rachel (Max) Biesack, as well as ten great-grandchildren; her sister: Mavis O’Neil and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Laddie and Betty Elliott; brother: Tony; sister: Jean; nephew: Brian and former husband: John Charles Reardon.

In accordance with Wendy’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a  private service was held.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, St. Joseph Hospital 8th Floor nurses and Lightways Hospice Care for the wonderful care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made as gifts in Wendy’s memory to either Sunny Hill Nursing Home or Lightways Hospice Care.
