Survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Eileen (nee Hrvatin); children, Walter L. (Ellen) of Littleton CO., Jayne (Mike) Viano of Channahon, and Renee (Beau Wright) Frantini of Shorewood. Grandfather of Luke and Kate Plese, Kailey, Allie and Lacey Viano, Rachel, Brett and Hannah Frantini; brothers, John (Angie), Luke (Gerry) Plese; sisters, Lucille (late Ed) Kocjan, Zita (Ed) Verklan, Sylvia (late George) Vulgaris; brothers and sisters in law, Clarence Kinzler, Rosemary and Robert Rogel, Arthur and Nikki Hrvatin. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Katherine Plese; sisters Fran Butscher and Helen Kinzler.
Walter was born in Joliet. Veteran of the US Army Korean Conflict. Retired from Commonwealth Edison after 38 years of service. Member of Joliet Loyal of Moose #300 and a member of Holy Family Parish for 43 years. In lieu of flowers contributions to Holy Family Building fund or Joliet area community Hospice will be appreciated.
From where services will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 9:30am to Holy Family Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment St Mary Nativity Cemetery. Visitation Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
