Walter H. Miller

Walter A�??BingA�?i�� H. Miller, age 91, of Crest Hill, formerly of Streator, passed away peacefully August 1, 2012; survived by his beloved wife Irene T. (nee Toth) Miller; son James (Deborah) Miller and daughter Pamela (Samuel) Smolkovich; grandchildren Ryan and Ross Miller, Sam Smolkovich, Jr and Stephanie Smolkovich; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Brinton Miller; his first wife Violet V. (nee Fredericksen) Miller and daughter-in-law Nancy L. (nee Eichelberger) Miller.

Bing was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific Theatre during WWII; he then started a career working for Com Ed for over 40 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed golf, watching sports on television, and spending time with his family. He lived life to the fullest.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to St. Mary Nativity Church, Joliet Area Community Hospice or the American Lung Association.

A Celebration of BingA�??s life will begin on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 9:30am with prayers at the funeral home chapel then moving in procession to St. Mary Nativity Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
