Walter Kulof
Age 90, of Shorewood, died peacefully in his sleep on January 21, 2009. Born February 14, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois, Walter was raised in Morris by his mother and step-father, Mary and Adam Elinewski. In addition to his parents and his sister Kathryn, he has now rejoined his beloved wife of 65 years, Lauretta (Sampson) Kulof whom he has deeply missed since her passing in August 2006. He is survived by his devoted sister, Irene Schaefer of Morris, his daughter and son-in-law, Luan and Reggie Dean of Boxborough, Massachusetts, his son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Kathy Kulof of Morris, five granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many dear friends among the residents and staff of the Timbers of Shorewood where he resided for the past four years. Cremation rites were accorded. Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church of Morris, Grundy Area Hospice or the charity of your choice.
Visitation will be at the First United Methodist Church of Morris at 11am on Saturday, January 24. A memorial service celebrating Walter"s life will follow at 12pm.
