Victoria Fitzsimmons

d. November 23, 2008

Age 13 entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 23, 2008.

Survived by her loving parents, Mary Ann Fitzsimmons and John Szelenbaum; one brother, Peter Szelenbaum; beloved granddaughter of Bernadette (late Harry J.) Fitzsimmons; also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Victoria dedicated her life to helping sick children. She hosted lemonAIDE stands to raise money, organized a Christmas concert, helped create a Christmas video and CD for children who would spend Christmas in the hospital. Victoria never wanted gifts for herself. Instead of presents, she requested money to donate to her favorite charities. For her 13th birthday last August she wanted to go to St. Jude's Hospital to personally donate her lemonAIDE stand money and other donations. When she turned 12, she requested birthday money for the Eric and Kathy Children's Memorial Radiothon. She never missed a Jerry Lewis telethon and asked everyone she met if they had pledged their donations yet. In October she sponsored a DisAbility Awareness March to continue with Dr. Martin Luther King's dream. Her new Christmas CD was just just completed by her dear friends at Children's Memorial.
