Age 87. At rest Tuesday December 13, 2011 at his late residence.
Survived by his loving children; Tina (late James) McDonnell, Peggy (Steven) Holmes and Stephen Surges; devoted grandfather to six grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his loving wife Mary D. (nee Larres) Surges; his parents, Peter and Catherine (nee Nieman) Surges.
Victor was born in Joliet and was a lifelong area resident. He was a devout catholic and a lifelong parishioner of St. JohnA�??s Catholic Church.
Funeral services for Victor J. Surges will be Saturday December 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. JohnA�??s Catholic Church on Hickory St. Interment will be at St. JohnA�??s Church Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends at church from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
