Twila M. (Florey) Marcum

Twila M. Marcum (nee Florey), age 85, at rest Thursday, October 25, 2012 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Loving wife to her sweetheart of 66 years, James R. Marcum; loving mother of Bradley (Kim), Glen (Pat) Marcum, Diane (Dave) Zuelke; mother-in-law of Jennianne (late Randy) Marcum; cherished grandmother of Sarah (Erik) Schueler, Amy (Mike) Pepper, Kevin Marcum, Erin Marcum, Heather (Christopher) Dunlap, Brett (Samantha) Marcum, Patrick Marcum, Allison (Ben) Gunnink, Tyler Marcum, Derik Zuelke and Dana (Burke) Schuster; beloved great grandmother of eleven great grandchildren; sister of James "Skip" Florey; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her two sons Richard and Randy Marcum; her parents Annabel and Elmer Florey; and one brother Raymond Florey.
Twila was a resident of Joliet for over 60 years. She was a member of the Trinity School Board, Cunningham PTA, the Larkin Baptist Church and was an active participant of The American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She was a piano teacher and enjoyed writing poems in her free time. Twila was a friend to everyone who met her and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Twila's name to Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Joliet Park Foundation in honor of the Richard Marcum Scholarship would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Twila's life will be on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with a chapel service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tezak's Home to Celebrate Life (1211 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL).
