Timothy Benson

Timothy “Tim” Benson, age 29, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
Timothy is survived by his loving parents, Gary and Wanda Benson; brothers, Ryan Whiteside, Michael (Haley) Benson, Michael R. Benson and Corey Benson; grandmother, Carol (Bill) Laney; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gordon and Catherine Whiteside and paternal grandfather, Ronald Benson; and uncle, Tom Whiteside.
Timothy was a graduate of Joliet Township Central High School. He was employed by United Machine and Tool, Inc. in Minooka, IL as well as First Church of the Nazarene. Timothy enjoyed fishing and fixing things that were broken.
A celebration of Timothy’s life will begin on Monday, October 9, 2017 with a visitation at First Church of the Nazarene (1009 S. Briggs Street Joliet) from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services to begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.
