Tom Tezak, age 63, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on Friday October 13, 2017.
Tom was born on December 22, 1953 to Frank (Shack) and Judy (Brown) Tezak. He attended Joliet Public Schools and was a graduate of Joliet Central High School. Tom was a very proud member of the Will County Carpenter’s Local 174, retiring in 2004.
After his retirement, Tom enjoyed fishing, going to the Florida Keys for the winter, but most of all spending time with his “Little Buddy” grandson, Parker, who was his pride and joy.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam (Block); daughter, Jenna (Ted DiMayo); son, Dan; and grandson, Parker Thomas. Tom is also survived by his siblings, Char (the late Pat) O’Connor, Bev (the late Terry) Briese and Jim (Pat) Tezak; father and mother in-law, George and Maureen Block; brothers in-law, George (Regina), Ken, Tom and Ron Block; sister-in-law, Beth (Doug) Hucek; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Tom was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Per his wishes, Tom’s body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois.
The family would like to thank all family members, friends and neighbors who have been there helping during Tom’s illness. They would also like to thank Joliet Area Community Hospice, where donations can be made in Tom’s name.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Saturday October 21, 2017 at the Will County Carpenter’s Local 174, George A Perinar Memorial Hall, 1407 Essington Rd. Joliet, IL from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
