Age 69, of Cambridge of Carillon, Plainfield, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
Faithful and loving husband and best friend to Mary (nee Docherty); Wonderful father to Cheryl (Marc) Katalinic, Thomas (Jill), Robert (engaged to Rebecca), and Brian (Stephanie); Proud grandfather to Kevin, Carly and Brett Katalinic; Chloe, Julia, and the late Jack OA�??Dekirk; Leah OA�??Dekirk; Timothy and Mitchell OA�??Dekirk; Fond brother to James (Gail), John (Debbie), Terence (Therese), Kathleen and Daniel (Judy). Caring brother-in-law to the late Donna (Chuck) Galvin and Patricia Wilson; Dearest uncle to many nieces and nephews; and friend to many.
Tom was a graduate of St. Rita High School. He was a long-time resident of Oak Forest. Past President of the St. Damian School Board and past President of the Oak Forest Baseball Association. He was also a life-long Bears and White Sox fan and was an avid golfer.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in TomA�??s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice.
A Celebration of TomA�??s life will begin on Saturday, January 12, 2013 with family and friends meeting at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus in Joliet for a memorial mass to be celebrated at 9:30 am. Visitation will be on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at TezakA�??s Home to Celebrate Life.
