Thomas P. Hoerner

Thomas P. Hoerner passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side, at the age of 69 on January 12, 2024. He was born on January 23, 1954 in Joliet to John and Nora Hoerner (nee DeLuca).

Tom was a member of the Croatian Cultural Club, where he loved to listen to the bands. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle & going to the races. Most of all Tom enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He retired from the Will County Health Department, where he worked in maintenance for many years.

Preceded in death by his father, John Hoerner; his in-laws, Antonio & Angeline Alberico.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 wonderful years, Donna Hoerner (nee Alberico). His beautiful and caring daughter Angela Florman (Kenneth), who gave him the best presents anyone could ever ask for, his grandchildren, Graham and Clementine Florman. His loving mother, Nora Hoerner. Brothers Robert J. Hoerner (Betty) and Timothy F. Hoerner (Suzanne). His Sister in-law, Rose Linko (Donald) and Theresa Bolin (James). As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Lightways Hospice, and his nurse Margie for their compassion and excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice would be appreciated. According to his wishes, there was a private memorial service. Tom was a very loyal husband, neighbor, and friend to many. He will be missed dearly.
