Age 66 of Channahon, IL. At rest on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at The University of Chicago Medical Center, after courageously battling a long illness. Born August 2, 1941 in Morris, IL the son of the late Mary (Karpowicz) and Anothony Cheshareck, Sr.
Survived by his wife of 41 years, Frances (Vigna); children, Marie (Peter) Bohler of Channahon, IL, Manette Cheshareck of Gainesville, FL, and Mindy (Andrew) Bazzarone of Custer Park, IL; proud grandfather to Arin Bazzarone and Blake and Sabrina Bohler; brother to Joseph (Karen), Michael, and Robert (fiancA�?A�AC.e Aloma Blood); sister-in-law, Betty; and brother-in-law, Vern Smith. Many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Anthony Jr., John (Terry), and Delores Smith; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth.
Thomas served in the United States Air Force from 1959-1964 and was stationed in Karamursel, Turkey for part of his service as a Radio Intercept Analyzer. While in active duty he received the ""Snoopy"" award for spotting an enemy MiG aircraft, and earned a Good Conduct Medal for his service from July of '59 - July of '62. He kept in touch with fellow service members that were stationed in Turkey, and belonged to the KAS 60-61 club.
Thomas retired from the Joliet Arsenal in Elwood as a Boiler Operator after 25 years. Also, he was a member of the Braidwood Recreation Club and enjoyed golfing and fishing. He bowled at the Stone City Post on a league for many years. Thomas was fond of a little spot in Elwood and the late owner Betty Hibner.

From where services will be held on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 10:30 AM to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood for full Military Honors at 11:00 AM. A Chapel Service will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. there will be no funeral home visitation.
