Theresa H. (Horvat) Rousonelos

Theresa H. Rousonelos (nee Horvat), age 81, entered into eternal life on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Nicholas Rousonelos; loving sons, Robert “Rocky” (Ginny) Babecki and Nicholas (Julie) Rousonelos; numerous cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; dear sisters, Dorothy (the late Joe) Lakotich, Delores (the late Leonard) Suhadolc, and Maryann (Joseph) Pluth; dear brothers, Robert (JoAnne) Horvat and Raymond (Gladys) Horvat; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly White (nee Babecki); parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Kobe) Horvat; sisters, Josephine Remus-Ercegovich, Catherine (Walter) Sargent, Evelyn (Louis) Mauro, Rose (Lewis) Meyers, and Lorraine (Ralph) Wedic; and brother, Joseph (Eileen) Horvat.

Theresa was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. As an usher, she greeted people, always with a hug, compliment and often times a kiss. She made everyone feel as if they were a part of her family. She was proud of her Slovenian heritage, letting others know by word and by action that you cannot spell the word “Slovenian” without “Love.”

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church or to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Theresa’s life will begin on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 with a memorial visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church. Per Theresa’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services held at the funeral home.
