Theresa E. Dumyahn

Theresa E. Dumyahn, 81, of Joliet, at rest Sunday August 28, 2011 at Hospice of Northeastern Illinois. Survived by her grandchildren Todd (Marion) Placher and Robert Placher; her great-granddaughter Summer Placher; sister Helen Hafey (late Robert), sisters-in-law Lois Smith (late Ronald) and Helen Malinowski (late Donald) and brother-in-law Bernard (Rita) Dumyahn, Sr. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Preceded in death by her husband Gilbert; parents Mary (nee Dzvonik) and John Hrebenyak, her son Kevin R. Dumyahn, brother John Hrebenyak, Jr., sister Mary Sienko (late John), sister Anna Downey (late Francis), and sister Margaret Ambrosich (Michael). A special thanks to the staff at Bowes In Home Care, Provena St. Joseph Medical Center of Elgin, Hospice of Northeastern Illinois and Will County Carpenters Local 174. Theresa was a member of the Cantigny Post # 367 Ladies Auxillary. A Celebration of Theresa"s Life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011, beginning with prayers at the funeral home at 10:30 AM, then in procession to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of prayers at:
