Theresa M. ""Honey"" Cemeno, age 87, lifelong resident of Joliet, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 24, 2011 with her family by her side.
Survived by her brother Edward (Georgia) Banach; her aunt Ann ""Onnie"" Kolakowski; brothers-in-law Fred (Elsie) Cemeno; Thomas (Polly) Cemeno and sister-in-law Janis (the late Joseph) Cemeno. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and several godchildren. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 62 years Anthony J. Cemeno and parents Julia and Frank Banach.
A graduate of St. Francis Academy, Theresa was completely devoted to the Blessed Virgin, listening to mass daily, and praying the rosary devoutly several times a day. She loved fishing in northern Wisconsin with her husband and she was a great bowler.
Memorial contributions may be made to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431. A celebration of Theresa"s life will begin on Monday, March 28 at 9:30 am with prayers at the funeral home chapel, then in procession to St. Anthony Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
