Theodore Bushrod

Theodore Bushrod, age 74, entered into eternal life on Saturday, December 24, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.

Theodore is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Fannie (nee Stewart); loving daughter, Timolin Bushrod; cherished granddaughter, Teri Tiara (Marvin) Greer; cherished great grandchildren, Tayden, Makayla, and Mason; dear brothers, Alvin and Alois Bushrod; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Margaret (nee Clark) Bushrod; three sisters; and eight brothers.

Theodore retired from Air Liquide Corporation in 2003 after working for 25 years as a design draftsman. He had a passion for cooking and gardening.

Theodore was born on Dec. 12, 1942 in Henderson, KY, and was the 13th child to Margaret and Morris Bushrod. He gave his life to God at an early age. He moved to Chicago where he met his beloved wife, Fannie. They went on to raise a beautiful daughter together. Their family has since grown to include a cherished granddaughter and three great-grandchildren who were the loves of his life.

He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Theodore’s life will begin on Friday, December 30, 2016 with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL 60435. Interment to follow at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.
