Terry retired from Oxbow Chemical in 2009 after over 30 years of service. He was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Worship Commission at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Terry coached his children’s soccer and softball teams as they were growing up. He was an avid fan of the Blackhawks and of the Green Bay Packers, of which he was a proud part owner. He enjoyed music, photography, walks in the woods, and reading. He loved vacationing with his wife in Mexico and Marco Island. He cherished time spent attending annual auto racing events with his cousin, Butch Dearie. Terry’s calling after retirement was running “Gramps’s Daycare” where he delighted in reading princess and truck books to his beloved grandchildren, pushing them on swings, playing catch, making lunches, and tucking them in for naps. He loved parties, Christmas, and his family; he will be dearly missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Terry’s name to Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association or PKU Organization of Illinois would be greatly appreciated.
