Teresa M. Buffer (nee Fiocchi), a long time resident of Crest Hill, Teresa was taken to eternal rest after a brief illness at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home, November 21, 2006.
She was surrounded by her family as she went peacefully home to be with her heavenly Father. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Crest Hill.
Two of her greatest joys in life were caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchild. Teresa hardly ever missed a basketball game. Great-granddaughter, Michelle, ""her Dolly"" kept her very busy and full of joy with school events, dance and poms. ""Nonie"" was not only the best fan in the classroom, gym or recital halls; clapping the loudest, she was the PROUDEST.
Teresa was born in Mark, IL, on November 3, 1909. Teresa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dominic Buffer; both of her parents, Alex and Clara Fiocchi;
Teresa is survived by her daughter, Betty J. (Victor) Pavlich of Crest Hill; two grandchildren, Bill Pavlich of Lockport and Sharon Cullen of Crest Hill; a very special great-granddaughter, Michelle Lynn Cullen, of Crest Hill; sister, Catherine ""Kitty"" Stowe of Spring Valley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Teresa had a group of special friends that will dearly miss her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Teresa's name, sent to Joliet Area Hospice Home, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet IL or St Anne Church, Crest Hill, would be appreciated.
