Age 78, at rest Monday, January 10, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. Survived by her beloved husband of 53 years Urs Brennwald, loving mother of Ursula (Jeffrey) Lukanc , dearest grandmother of Kendrick and Gavin Lukanc, one sister Ann-Marie Rosengren; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in Sweden. Preceded in death by her son Steven Brennwald, parents Olaf and Edith (nee Bedinger) Rosengren, one sister Gun-Charlotte Andersson, one brother Kjell Rosengren. Sylvia was born in Slimminge, Sweden and resided in Joliet for the past 52 years. At Sylvia"s request cremation rites were accorded. The family invites relatives and friends to join them for a church service at the Faith Lutheran Church 353 N. Midland Ave. on Saturday at 11AM Pastor Jane Perkolup officiating. No funeral home visitation.
