Steven Paul Hucek

Steven P. Hucek, age 50, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2014.

Steven is survived by his father, Wendell; three brothers, Kurt (Patty), Jeffrey (Karen), and Douglas (Beth) Hucek; eight nieces and nephews, Annie Allgood, Kurt (Jennifer) Hucek, Marc (Marissa) Hucek, Kristin (Michael) Tomasino,

Justin and Brianne Hucek, Adam and Nolan Hucek; three great nieces and great nephews, Logan and Giana Allgood and

Natalie Hucek; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; best friends, Tony Sinchak, Danny Mikuska and his Westminster Street friends.

Preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Hucek; grandparents, George and Evelyn Smith and Vendelin and Katherine Hucek.

Steven was born and raised in Joliet, working many years in auto and beverage sales. He graduated from SS Cyril & Methodius grade school and Joliet Central High School.

Over the years Steven loved to golf, travel and cheer on his Chicago White Sox. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He lovingly devoted much of his time and energy helping his parents over the years and will join his best friend, Mom, in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Steven's name to be used according to family wishes.

Funeral services for Steven will begin on Thursday, July 3, 2014 with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus. Inurnment will take place at a later date at SS Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. Per Steven's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or services held at the funeral home.
