Stephen R. Stukel

Stephen R. Stukel, age 87, at rest on Thursday, July 16, 2015 with his loving family by his side.

Stephen is survived by his children, Stephen P. (JoAnn), Elizabeth (James) Kaspar and Gregory (Ellen) Stukel; 5 grandchildren; dear friend, Anne Prock; and 7 siblings.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Stukel; parents, Stephen and Mary Stukel; two sisters; four brothers-in-law; one niece and one nephew.

Stephen was a lifelong resident of Joliet, IL. He was the Treasurer of Al Baskin/Mark Shale Clothing Company. He was a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus St. Paul Council, K.S.K.J. member, and a member of the St. Paul’s Paulites. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Stephen’s name to St. Paul the Apostle or Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

A celebration of Stephen’s life will begin on Monday, July 20, 2015 with a visitation at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass to be held at 10 a.m. Fr. James Lennon officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet. There will be NO funeral home visitation or services.
