Loving father of Stephen (Kathryn) Popovich, Kathleen Popovich Harvish dearest grandfather of Lynn (William) D"Amico, Christopher (Kim) Harvish, Eric and Jason Popovich, Stephanie (Dave) Hoffman, Michael and Darrin (Allison) Fisher, twenty two great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, one sister Ann (late Joseph) Franciskovich. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (nee Shields) Popovich, granddaughter Elizabeth Brick, parents Rudolph and Ann (nee Glogowski) Popovich, one sister Olga Popovich, two brothers Robert and George Popovich and one sister at infancy.
Stephen was born in Joliet and resided in Crest Hill most of his life-time. Retired as a Teamster in 1986, he was a WWII US Army veteran, life member of Cantigny Post VFW 367. In lieu of flowers donations to be used according to the families wishes.
A Celebration of Stephen"s Life will begin on Tuesday at 9:30 AM with prayers at the funeral home, then a procession to St. Anne Church of Crest Hil where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM Interment Resurrection Cemetery Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8PM
