Stephen J. Papesh

Stephen J. Papesh Jr., age 77, at rest Friday, January 4, 2013 with his loving family by his side.

Survived by his loving wife Carol (Nee Martis) of 53 years; his three sons Stephen R. (Lori), Gary A. (Mary Jane), and Edward J. Papesh; five granddaughters Kaitlin, Emily, Allie, Janet, and Alyssa; one brother Richard Papesh; one sister Joan (Gerald) Hill; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents Stephen J. Papesh Sr. and Helen (nee Zelinski) Papesh; and one sister Irene Allison.

Stephen resided in the Joliet area his entire life and graduated from Joliet Township High School. He served in the United States Navy on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Ticondaroga. Stephen was in the Painters Union Local #33, and was a member of the Dale A. C. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed going to the South Wilmington SportsmenA�??s Club. Stephen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive family and friends for a visitation on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Joliet from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Joliet.
