Stephen J. Kula

Age 84. At rest on Tuesday, March 20,2007 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with his family by his side.

Survived by his beloved wife of 26 years Ann M. (nee Trubich) (Malnar) Kula. Loving father of Mary Jo Cantrell, Steve (Victoria) Kula; step-daughter Mary Ann (Dennis) Erford; step-son Danny Swanson. Devoted grandfather of Sean (Belinda) and Shane (Tanya) Cantrell and Nick Kula; step-grandchildren Karen Ann (Jon) McAllister and Andrew Erford (US Army); great-grandchildren Marissa, Jared and Grace Cantrell and Clyde Palmer McAllister; two brothers Frank (Jean) and Paul (Carol) Kula; brother-in-law Joseph Trubich and two sister's-in-law Sophie(late Andrew)Trubich and Julia Muranyi. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded by his first wife Mary (Martincich) Kula; parents Joseph A. and Mary (nee Geryk) Kula; step-son Wayne Peterson.

Stephen was born in Joliet and a lifelong resident; he retired as a painter; Veteran of WWII U.S. Navy serving on the USS Washington and was a life member of the Cantigny Post VFW 367.
