Stephanie (Boris) Ferguson

Stephanie Ferguson (nee Boris), age 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Rock Run Memory Care, with her loving family by her side.

Stephanie is survived by daughters, Patricia Chizmark and Deborah (Michael) Decman; and daughter-in-law, Kathleen (the late William) Ferguson; grandchildren, Mark (Paula) and Joseph (Eileen O’Donnell) Ferguson, David (Jennifer), Kiley Chizmark and Kacey (Mark) Lauer, Melissa (Corey Brown) Morales and Michael Decman Jr.; great-grandchildren, Madalyn Ferguson, Alayna and Lincoln Chizmark, Maya Chizmark, Samantha and Addison Lauer, Maricela, Ariana and J.T. (Genaro III) Morales and Stephanie Decman; great-great-granddaughter, Addalyn Gounelis; sister-in-law, Doris Ferguson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, William J. Ferguson; son, William R. Ferguson; brothers, Stanley, Michael (Jean) and Joseph (Stella) Boris; brothers-in-law, Lavern, Walter, James and Eugene (Loretta) Ferguson; sister-in-law, Catherine (Dick) Miner; and dear friend, Virginia Cassani.

The family would like to thank Rock Run Place Memory Care and Joliet Area Community Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Stephanie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Senior Service Center where she volunteered for over 10 years or Joliet Area Community Hospice.

A celebration of Stephanie’s life will begin on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 with a visitation at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Joliet from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
