Age 91, at rest Tuesday October 14, 2008 Preceded in death by her husband George J. Keca (2008), infant daughter Marilyn Jean, parents John and Julia(nee Kruczek) Barnik, two sisters Sophie Barnik and Mary Rapcan, one brother Peter Lazur. Loving mother of Judith(James)Behrmann and Patricia(Patrick)McGinnis; dearest grandmother of John(Cecilia Leung), Jeffrey, Kathy and Michael(Jennifer Reichenberger)McGinnis, Patricia(Kenneth)Krock and Matthew Behrmann; dearest great-grandmother of Kaitlyn Krock and Vaughn McGinnis. Survived by sister Josephine(Nicholas, Sr.)Keca and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Stella was born September 7,1917 in Joliet and was a lifelong resident . She retired from the U.S. Defense Supply Agency after twenty eight years of service and was a long-time member of St.. Raymond"s Senior group. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice, Cathedral of St. Raymond or Sunny Hill Rehab Center.
From where a prayer service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home then to the Cathedral of St. Raymond Nonnatus for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
