Stacy Collette Harris

On Tuesday, February 8, 2022 the spirit of our dear loved one Stacy Collette Harris departed this life at her residence in Joliet, IL. Stacy was born on June 12, 1981 in Joliet, IL to Vicki Harris and Kenneth Cage. Stacy graduated from Joliet Central High School after which she enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Academy. After training in the Navy, Stacy went on to attend Joliet Junior College and Joliet Job Corps Center. Stacy also attended Advanced Training at the Shriver Job Corps Center in Fort Devens, MA.  She was employed with Mattress Firm Distribution Center as a Manager for the past 8 years. She loved spending time with her friends and family and she truly adored her nieces and nephews. Stacy’s laughter will be missed by all that knew her.

She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory, her Mother and Father. One Grandmother, Louise Henderson & One Grandfather, James Harris Sr. both of Joliet, IL  Five Brothers, Kenneth Harris of Carol, IA, Charon Cage of Joliet, IL, Guy Washington of Laveen, AZ, Joe (Elizabeth) Eskridge Jr. of Joliet, IL & Joseph Scott Eskridge of Columbus, GA . One sister, Knieakay Harris of Joliet, IL. God Daughter Nadia Eskridge & God Son Anthony Reed Jr. Lifelong friend, Jacquetta Love, special cousins Cheyenne Halis & Christina Cage & special co-worker, Brittany Williams. Stacy is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, special relatives & friends too numerous to name.

Stacy was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rose Harris.

Per Stacy’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A Home Going Celebration will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Road in Joliet.
