Survived by his sister Georgi (Stephen) Gold of Scottsdale, AZ, his longtime sweetheart June Brown, one nephew Peter (Linda) Komon, Jr, and one niece Kristi Komon, both of Chicago, and many dear friends and extended family.
Preceded by his parents, John and Inez Zapantis.
Spero was an avid sports car enthusiast, member of the Sports Car Club of America, and a former member of the Outlaws MC.
Memorial donations to the Will County Humane Society would be appreciated. Makai, Brown,and Mischief, and Stinky the cat were his life and constant companions.
