Elsie Sophie Lynch
Age 93, passed away peacefully May 24, 2010 with her family by her side at Sunny Hill Nursing Home, Joliet, IL. Born in Chicago, IL, she has been living in Shorewood for the past twelve years. She was a long-time resident of Antioch, IL.
She is survived by; her son, Andrew (Kay) Lynch, a daughter, Patricia (Robert) Murphy; grandchildren; Jennifer (Roberto) Vilardi, Alison (Ryan) Mlyniec, Brian (Diane) Murphy, Gillyann Murphy, and Kris Corcoran; and her great-grandchildren, Katie and Sarah Vilardi, Emily and Andy Mlyniec, Kevin and Marissa Murphy and Benjamin Murphy. Also survived by her sister, Evelyn (John) Kanton, as well as her beloved nieces and nephew.
Elsie was preceded by; her beloved husband, Edward (1993); her parents, Charles and Elizabeth Priester; four sisters, Marie (Ernie) Zoltan, Kate (Mike) Dykema, Nora (Arnold) Malmquist, and Cecelia Priester; and, her brother, Steven Priester.
The most important thing in the world to Elsie was her family. She devoted her life to her husband and raising her children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy in her life. Elsie"s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sunny Hill. She had a very short stay but was treated with great kindness. Also, thanks to Joliet Hospice for their help in easing Elsie"s last days.

A Celebration of Elsie"s life will be held on Saturday, June 5, at St. Ignatius Episcopal Church, Antioch, with a Memorial Mass at noon, following a private inurnment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
