Loving mother of Maryann (Denis) Ancel; dearest grandmother of Amy (Michael) Miller and Brian Ancel; great-grandchildren, Madeline, Chloe and Emily Miller; one sister, Mary (late Leo) Jachinowski; step sister, Mary Cleveland; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded by her husband, Stanley Katz; parents, Andrew and Mary Mikuska; one brother, Andrew Mikuska; one sister, Helen Gramera; step-sister, Helen Gruber; and step brother Joseph Paluga.
Sophie was born in Joliet and a life long resident. Member of St Cyril Altar and Rosary Society, St. Cyril Chior, Joliet Diocesan Chior, she will be especially remembered for her Apple Strudles and Potica at the various craft shows.
