Sister Maria Adoracion Malabana PCC, born November 17, 1929, in Mogpog Marinduque, P.I. daughter of Santiago Malabana and Leonor Losbanos, both deceased, departed this life on the feast of the Archangels, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, September 29, 2011 at 8:45 PM fortified by the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church and the prayers of her religious Sisters the Poor Clare Nuns of Annunciation Monastery, 6200 East Minooka Road in Minooka, IL.
She is survived by her three siblings in the Philippines, Araceli, Romelia, and Higino, her sisters at the monastery and her many friends and co-workers from her days as a nurse in St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island, IL.
His Excellency, the Most Reverend R. Daniel Conlon will be the main celebrant along with other priests of the Joliet Diocese concelebrating for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am on Monday, October 3, 2011 at Annunciation Monastery in Minooka, IL. Interment to follow at the Monastery Cemetery. Visitation hours will begin at the monastery on Saturday at 2:30 pm until the time of rosary and prayers at 7:00 pm and on Sunday at 8:00 am until the time of rosary and prayers at 7:00 pm.
