Shirley Ann Carlton
March 29, 1930 — October 10, 2013
Shirley Ann Carlton (nee Adams), age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 10, 2013 comforted by the love of her family.
Shirley is survived by her beloved children, Patricia (Daniel) Potochnic, Barbara McHale, Sandra McIntosh and Douglas Carlton; her grandchildren, Kelly (Mick) Monnett, Amy McIntosh and Jack McHale; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Madison and Jayden Monnett; loving friend and sister-in-law, Marilyn Adams; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Carlton; her mother Catherine J. Adams; her beloved granddaughter, Jennifer Richardson; her three brothers, James(Beryl) Adams, Theron "Bud" (Eileen) Bartholomew and Ronald Adams.
Shirley retired from Universal Lockport after 30 years of service. She loved going to the casino and playing Keno. Shirley loved crafts, crocheting and cooking. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Shirley's life will begin on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 with a service to take place in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet. Per Shirley's wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
