Shawn M. Powers

Shawn M. Powers Sr. "Buzz," age 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2013.

Shawn is survived by his children, Steven (Becky), Daniel (Devon Kubinski), Shawn Jr. (Katie Murray), Mark (Jeanine) and Lisa Powers; his grandchildren, Alec, Ava, Alison, Haylee, Nathan, Alex, Emily, Steven Jr., Abigail, Neland, and Malorie; his siblings Michael (Sharoll), Lynn Powers and Edward Powers; sister-in-law Virginia Powers; his wonderful friend Diane Ray; nieces, Anita Neese, Viki Powers and Vanessa Powers; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Charlotte (nee Cirrencione) Powers; and his maternal grandmother Mildred Driskill.

Buzz was an avid fisherman and motorcycle enthusiast. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and was a Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. His greatest pride was his children and grandchildren and he will be dearly missed.

Per Shawn's wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Services for Shawn were held on Saturday, September 14, 2013. Inurnment at Maplewood Cemetery in New Lenox, IL.
