Sharon Lee Umek

It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Lee Umek, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, announce her passing on July 6, 2023 at the age of 75 with her loving and devoted husband Tony by her side.

Sharon was a woman of great strength and intelligence. Widowed at a young age during the Vietnam War with a newborn, she built a career as an accountant and lived a life full of laughter. Sharon loved baking, music, dancing, throwing great parties, and could have a joyful conversation with any one at any time. Her presence will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Tony Umek; children John (Gina) Burzawa, Kevin (Nena) Wright, Lauren (Justin) Umek; grandchildren Brittany, Nicholai, Anthony, Elina, Anabelle, Collin, and Cole; and countless friends whose lives she touched in a special way.

The family would like to thank Lightways Hospice for their compassionate care and support during the final days of Sharon's long illness.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be announced at a later date.
