Sebastian Guerrero

Sebastian Guerrero, age 84, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center.

Sebastian is survived by his beloved life partner, Maria C. Guerrero; daughters, Josefina (Victor) Ochoa, Martina (Octavio) Cardenas and Imelda (Brian) Mongillo, grandchildren; Victor, Aldo, Mariha Ochoa, Marissa, Nataly, Anthony Cardenas, Dominic and Marco Mongillo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Francisca Guerrero; siblings, Antonio Guerrero, Camerino Guerrero and Catalina Guerrero.

Sebastian was born in Guanajuato Mexico, migrated to the United States in the 1970’s and resided in Joliet. He was an avid soccer fan who enjoyed playing, as well as watching it on television. Sebastian also had a passion for gardening and playing golf. He was a dedicated foreman and had a passion for his job. Sebastian had a high spirit personality that would lighten any room. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Sebastian’s life will begin on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 with prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:10 a.m. then driving in procession to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
