Sarah Ellen Taylor

Sarah Ellen Taylor (nee Smith), age 32, entered eternal life on Saturday, January 24, 2015.

Sarah is survived by her adoring wife,Tammy; breathtaking daughter, Savannah "Savvy" Jo; beloved mother, Barbara Lara (nee Smith); loving father, Abraham Lara; supportive mother and father-in-law, Sandra and Jimmy Taylor; as well as extended family both of origin and choice and loving friends, near and far.

Preceded in death by her doting grandmother, Joyce Ellen Smith.

Sarah was best known for her fiery personality and beautiful red hair. She advocated for children and adult victims of sexual and domestic violence, human trafficking, as well as participated in the rescue of many cats and dogs, in support of Tammy's passion. Guardian Angel Community Services Sexual Assault Service Center is where Sarah and Tammy met in February 2007. She loved her daughter, her wife, her mother, and her father with her whole heart. Sarah attended Joliet Junior College, receiving an Associate's Degree in Law Enforcement Criminal Justice in 2008. She and her family selflessly donated to the Gift of Hope after her sudden passing.

A Celebration of Sarah's life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with a memorial luncheon at Giovan's Restaurant and Pizzeria in Crest Hill. Per Sarah's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
