Age 86. At rest on March 17, 2007. Born in Chicago on December 11, 1920.
Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Yola (Mondello) Algozino; his daughter, Linda and son-in-law, Robert Janik; also surviving are his beloved grandchildren, Leah M. Janik of Joliet and Thomas R. Janik of Arcata, CA.
Preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mary (Gaglione) Algozino; two brothers, James and Frances; and infant son, James.
After retiring from Spiegel, Sam and Yola moved to North Fort Myers, FL for several enjoyable years. They moved to Joliet in 2002 to be near their family.
Sam was a wonderful gentleman, very devoted to his wife and family. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name would be appreciated to the St. Jude Catholic Church Building Fund.
From where services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 10:00 AM for a Memorial Mass at St. Jude Church. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of the Service. Cremation rites were accorded.
