Ruth M. Hyland

Ruth M. Hyland A�??MaggieA�?i�� (nee Cahill), age 95, entered eternal life on Monday, May 06, 2013 with her loving family by her side.

She is survived by her beloved children James Jr. (Loretta), Thomas A�??MickA�?i�� (Connie) and Eileen (Don) Nelson; one son-in-law Joe Esposito; her grandchildren Beth, Brent, Chris, Kelly, Joe Jr., Heather, Kevin, Lindsay, Ashleigh, Michael, Maggie, and Tricia; great-grandchildren Gabriella, Carl, Jack, Lucia, Mackenzie, Grady, Alaina, Tristin, Paige, Seraphina, Emmamae, and Colton; her sister Kathleen; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Pat and Madge Cahill of Mitchelstown, Ireland; her cherished husband James A. Hyland of 46 years; one daughter Patricia A�??TootsieA�?i�� Esposito; one son Kevin Hyland; her siblings Tom, Bill, John, Patsy, Betty and Joan.

Ruth went to Resurrection Grade School and graduated from Providence High School. She enjoyed working with ceramics, porcelain doll making and working in the garden.

Ruth retired from Chicago Public Schools after 30 years of service. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Charity, Cicero IL. Ruth was a member of OLC Tabernacle Society, Ministry of Care to the Homebound and OLC Friendship Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Ruth will be truly missed by everyone whose life she has touched.

In lieu of flowers donations in RuthA�??s name may be made to the hospice organization of choice.

A Celebration of RuthA�??s life will begin on Friday, May 10, 2013 with a lie-in-state period at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Darien from 8:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
